Vocations News and Events: Enquirers' Night

News from the latest enquirer night on 4th January 2010

In spite of the awful weather, about 15 seminarians and enquirers were present at the first Enquirers' Evening of 2010, on Monday 4th January.

Bishop Seamus celebrated Mass with the group, and spoke about the importance for a priest of being faithful and honest in prayer.

Afterwards, there was time to talk and share experiences, over a superb Indian buffet, prepared by a parishioner. It was very encouraging for those considering priesthood to meet the Bishop, and to talk to students who are already in seminary formation.

The next Enquirers' Evening will be on Wednesday 27th January (a change from the published date).

Monthly Enquirers' Nights are held in the Diocese at:
St. Anne, Hylton Road, Pennywell, Sunderland, SR4 9AA.
(Please note new venue)

Each evening begins at 7pm with prayer. This is followed by a period of reflection and a meal together. Meetings end at 9pm.
